Rocktober: Appreciate the Classics 60’s

20Oct09

Rocktober 09′ is nearing its end, and coinciding with the release of Brutal Legend last week, let’s look back on the history of, ROCK, and since it’s my blog it’ll be my list, my favorites and my kind of music.

1960’s
The post Elvis era was the greatness of Rock n’ Roll with the British Invasion, was one of the highlights with The Beatles spearheading the assault of UK bands on US soil, The Who soon then followed and a bunch of other. Bob Marley was spreading his influence alongside the Rastafarian Movement, Bob Dylan was developing folk rock, Jimi Hendrix was rocking out! People were high proud and all hippie like, the era ended with the greatest concert ever, Woodstock 69′
